The Holyoke High School Field Hockey team will be playing in honor of fallen Knight Heather McMahon in their annual “Play for the Cure” game.

The game will be played at Roberts Field sports complex against Belchertown at 6 p.m. on October 12th. Getting into the game is free of charge, but donations are greatly appreciated. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Heather McMahon foundation through Dana Farber.

The team will start the game by wearing green shirts with Heather’s name and number on the back. During the game, the team will also be wearing white socks with shamrocks on them to represent the Irish heritage of Heather.

The team is very excited to play in honor of Heather!

“We love and look forward to our play for the cure game every year to be able to raise money in memory of our fallen knight, Heather McMahon,” says captain Liza Keane.

The game is on Friday October 12th, come support the team and help raise money for a great cause!
