The Holyoke Knights hope to take down one of the top 25 teams in Massachusetts tonight at Roberts Sports Complex. The Knights square off against the Central Eagles after coming off a poor performance against Longmeadow last week.

The Knights plan to use their elusive rushing attack and their short passing attack to move down the field. Last week, the Knights faced many conflicts – three fumbles and over 10 penalties effectively taking them out of what should have been a competitive game.

Running back for the Knights, Kenny Williams ’19, wants to help his fellow teammates out of a bad groove. “I feel that we can use our powerful rushing attack in many smart ways. We are going to start the game fired up and very energetic. If everyone flies out to their block in the beginning, we can get early momentum to score,” Williams said.

Defensively, Jacob Swinehart ’20, who is one of the Knights’ defensive backs, said, “I think that with the decision making by Coach Lubold and the rest of the coaching staff we can use our strong defensive front to get the ball back on offense. For our secondary, we’re looking to make the big play by making the quarterback think and make a throw that he’ll regret. We’re going to fly around and get 11 hats to the ball!”
