Revival of The Fittest
On November 8 The Holyoke Boys & Girls Club will be hosting “Revival Of The Fittest,” a pro wrestling event featuring local talent. Some of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Holyoke Boys & Girls Club and The Herald. Tickets are on sale now at the Boys & Girls website, from any member of The Herald staff, from Mr. Courchesne in Room 110, or you can purchase them at the door the night of the event. General Admission is $10, but an upgrade to VIP Ringside costs $15. During the event there will be a concession stand and The Holyoke High Band will be performing.
A Homecoming
For one of the talents, performing on the show has special significance. “Coming back to Holyoke is very special to me, I was born here, grew up here and graduated from Holyoke High as a member of The Herald and have a special place in my heart for the city,” said Bill King, one of Holyoke’s own who will performing on November 8. As a pro-wrestler, King has had the opportunity to wrestle all over the country, but for him to come home and showcase this event for the city he loves is going to be a special moment for him. King doesn’t want to give too much away, but he did hint that you should “keep your eyes peeled for some very familiar faces to the high school.”
Some Familiar Faces?
If you’ve seen any of the posters hanging up around the school promoting the event, you know one of those “familiar faces” King is alluding to is our own Acting Principal Mr. Sullivan. The principle of Holyoke High School was asked by Revival Pro Wrestling to make a guest appearance in the event. Students are really excited to see what Mr. Sullivan is going to do. “I can’t wait to see what Mr. Sullivan is going to bring to the table and to see his special move! It is going to be a fun time – especially with Mr. Sullivan [there],” said Nick Elkins ‘17. Holyoke High students: you do not want to miss seeing your principal step into the squared circle with the RPW stars!
A Smackdown to Benefit The Boys & Girls Club and The Herald
Purchasing a ticket to this event means more than just going to see some great pro-wrestling action: you’re also benefiting both The Holyoke Boys & Girls Club and Holyoke High’s school newspaper The Herald. Please come out, have a blast, and support this great event right in our home town that is generously raising money for two Holyoke programs (The Club and The Herald) that benefit the youth of Holyoke.
If you’re still not convinced, allow former Holyoke High student, former Herald staff member, and current RPW star Bill King to put it best: “We’ll sell you the whole seat – but you’re only going to need the edge!”
See you November 8.
