Future Plans for Herald Staff Reporters/ Photographers
Holyoke High seniors count down the days till graduation!
As our time in Holyoke High School slowly becomes limited, Herald staff members look to the future. Senior events are right around the corner and graduation will be here before we know it. As the college decision deadline approaches many of our own Herald staff are eager to move on to a new chapter of education. Everyday seniors are proud to wear their new school colors and logos. Hard work has finally paid off and each student can now relax as their decision process has come to a close. The Herald staff is proud and excited to share where they will be attending in the fall. Lauren Ryan will be attending Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and majoring in business. After college she hopes to move and pursue a career in Boston. Sadie Pecia will be attending The University of Massachusetts: Amherst and will be majoring in nutrition. She plans on getting her masters degree and becoming a registered dietitian in a hospital. Julia Pluta will be attending Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire and majoring in business. After college she is unsure of what she will pursue. Bridget Healy will be attending Wheaton College in Massachusetts and will double major in history and political science with a focus on international relations. After college she plans on attending law school at the College of William and Mary, and then moving to Virginia to practice criminal law. Tessa Moriarty will be attending Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire and majoring in business and marketing. After college she plans on getting a marketing job based in Boston. Helena Middleton will be attending UMass Amherst and will be majoring in Biology with a possible double major in environmental science. She plans on getting her master’s degree and doing research about climate change and diseases. Megan McGuinness has not committed yet, but most likely will be attending Western New England and majoring in Pre-Pharmacy. She plans on continuing into WNE’s PharmD program and getting her doctorate after 6 years, to become a certified pharmacist. Meagan Breen will be attending a four year college with an undecided major. Corey Thomas will be attending American International College and majoring in Human Biologies. Finn Lubold will be attending Franklin Pierce University and majoring in Criminal Justice. Henry Burke will be attending Massachusetts Maritime Academy and majoring in International Maritime Business. Anna Price will be attending Westfield State University and majoring in nursing. Liza Keane will be attending Merrimack College and majoring in business/ sports management. The school year is quickly coming to a close and students are extremely eager to graduate. As a generation of the Herald moves on from Holyoke we are excited to see where our futures will take us. The stressful college decision process has now ended and we are excited to move on to new bigger schools and get involved in new groups/clubs/sports. High school went by in a blink of an eye and four years felt very short. The best years of our life are right around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited to see where we will end up.
