Ode to Fall
Read an original poem by two Herald staff members!
It’s the beginning of fall;
Through the leaves I crawl,
Anxiously anticipating the spooky Halloween;
Leaves changing from red and yellow to green,
Varsity football on Friday nights,
Watching with friends under the lights,
Driving to the orchards for apple picking;
Choosing a costume for “treat-or-tricking”
Chilly nights as the weather cools,
The dark sky filled with ghosts and ghouls,
The delicious smell of apple pie;
The sight of brooms as the witches fly,
Enjoy all of these festive fall delights…
But be aware you’re in for a fright!

it’s “trick-or-treating” not “treat-or-tricking”
