Since she was younger, she’s always written stories and created her own characters, going as far as producing new worlds and ideas. Now, she’s a freshman at Holyoke High, and continues to have that passion for writing and creating. This is Aliliana De Jesus, who most refer to as Lily. She’s currently 14 years old, turning 15 in January. She grew up here in Holyoke, and is the oldest child of two. She has a little brother that she loves (though he talks her ears off all the time), two pitbulls named after Kratos and Bia from God of War, and a mom and dad that are forced to listen to her rants about her interests. In terms of creativity, Lily is a writer who wants to get her stories out there, starting with having them published on The Herald website. Her writing can range from poems to longer stories, so viewers are urged to look out for her within the HHS newspaper. Her writing focuses on themes of finding oneself and identity, as well as occasional trauma and coping with it. She’s always trying to get an idea and theme across to her readers, whether it be a sad truth or an eye-opening revelation. She hopes every viewer will enjoy what she has in store!
