Jaslyanna Dasilva is a Senior at Holyoke High School. This is her first year both in Holyoke High and as a member of The Herald. She’s hoping to use her creativity and knowledge to spread news through her journalism, and learn more about Holyoke’s in the process. Jaslyanna is a member of the Shea Fashion Modeling and Dance team, a popular event selling over 600 tickets at each show. She hopes to not only bring news from Holyoke but other interesting underground High School topics. Outside of The Herald, she has volunteered to help members of the community during multiple open houses, and the cold winter season where many elderly residents struggle with outdoor chores as well as sending letters of kindness to the people who need it.
