Knights Take on Pittsfield at Home
This week the Knights go to battle against the Pittsfield High School Generals at Roberts Sports Complex.
The Knights defeated the Generals last year with a score of 22-19. This year they hope to come out on top quick with a fast and powerful running attack.
Holyoke is planning on giving it their all on the field; looking to go 3-0 after a convincing 40 to 21 win over Chicopee High School last week.
Leesandro Colon played an important part on the offense against Chicopee, rushing for 121 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns. When asked about what the offense needs to do to take Pittsfield out early, he said, “As long as we keep moving the ball down field at a consistent pace, we take them out of the play.”
Colon also expressed confidence in his offensive line.
In his comments about last week’s game against Chicopee, he said, “We can start strong with our O-line. They opened the holes and got us 280 yards on the ground. With a strong rush led by them and Kenny Williams, we can dominate in the league.”
Defensively, Matt Seymour, fresh off a great game, racking up eight tackles – two of them for a loss said, “If everyone does their job and we get all eleven men to the ball, we can get the ball back to the offense more frequently.”
The Knights defense has forced eight fumbles in the first two weeks and recovered one.
