The second week of postseason play starts today and it will be a 5 o’clock showdown up in the Berkshires. This week the Knights take on the Taconic Braves at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield, MA.

The Knights showed up big last week against West Springfield, putting up 41 on the offense and allowing just 14 from the varsity defense. This week the Knights are aiming to keep their high-tempo play moving against the Braves.

Offensively, the Knights are going to try and keep putting points up on the board. They ran for almost 300 yards and threw just under 100 yards last week.  Junior Wide Receiver, Jacob Swinehart, said, “After last week’s game, we are hoping to use Lee and the O-line to pound the rock as they had the week before. We are going to try to get a more balanced attack against Taonic’s defense.”

Defensively, the Knights came up strong making West Springfield turn the ball over 4 times. Corey Thomas, senior Defensive End said, “This week, we are going to get the ball back to the offense and we’re going to lay the wood to anyone who comes our way. I expect our defense to rip through Taconic’s offense.”
