Bridget Claire Mendler was born on December 18, 1992, in Washington, D.C. Her parents are Leah and Harry Mendler and she has one sister named Zoey. Bridget Mendler and her family ended up moving to San Francisco, California where she landed her first acting job at 13. 

 

She signed with a Los Angeles agent and got her first acting job on the soap opera General Hospital.  This is when her acting career took off. At 16 she performed as the love interest on the premiere of JONAS. Mendler also played Kristen Gregory in the movie The Clique also in 2016. She also guest starred on the Wizards of Waverly Place for 4 episodes of  “Wizards vs.Vampires” saga, and then in 3 episodes of the Moises Voice of Reason saga (where Justin begins Monster Hunting).

In her early career, Bridget Mendler starred in her own show “Good Luck Charlie” which was a very popular Disney show from 2010 to 2014.  She is most famously known for playing Teddy Duncan on Good Luck Charlie. During her filming of Good Luck Charlie she also starred in the movie Lemonade Mouth in 2011. 

 

Once her acting career became a success she became a singer too. She had released some well known hits like  “Ready or Not”, “Hurricane” and so many others from her albums.  After she put a pause to her music career she pursued a higher education. 

 

Bridget Mendler attended the University of Southern California and received a master’s degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2020. Then she went to MIT for a Phd and got a law degree from Harvard. While she was at Harvard she was co-president of Harvard’s space society. This is where Bridget Mendler fell in love with space law. 

 

Now she is the CEO of Northwood Space which is a company that plans to produce and deploy ground stations to facilitate the large amount of data being sent as the space industry continues to grow. The startup will aim to build a “data highway between Earth and space,” Mendler told CNBC. Northwood Space is going to test its first connection later this year.
