Happy February!
Midterms have passed, and half of the school year is officially over. Lots has happened since the new year, though snow is definitely not one of those things. Your favorite editor-in-chief has been accepted to and committed to the Big Green, Dartmouth College! Here’s some more that has happened in the Holyoke High community.
With presidential campaigns heating up, guest writer Sarah Cavanaugh ‘17 has something to say to Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Holyoke held its 4th annual Poetry Out Loud competition, and The Herald’s own Nikki Lussier ‘17 took the title home.
Holyoke girls’ basketball is doing well this season, making it to the playoffs, and Callie Cavanaugh ‘16 recently scored her 1,000th point!
Finally, The Herald is currently accepting applications for next year’s staff. Find the form here and drop it off to Room 110 or Mr. Courchesne by February 12. And just in case you need convincing, this video should do the trick.
