Hello everyone and welcome back to “Moriarty’s Monsters,” where we explore the strange and deranged.

This week we have one hell of a monster. We call this spikey embodiment of pain and poison the “Crown of Thorns Starfish.” This thing is nothing but pure chaos.

Native to Hawaii, these starfish are one of the largest in the world, measuring up to 18 inches in diameter. They’re covered in hard spines that are soaked in poison. These hell stars’ poison causes extreme pain for several hours and cause you to constantly bleed due to the hemolytic effect of the saponins. Then for the next two weeks youll want to literally die because you constantly be so tired all the time and always be in pain.

But what makes these psychos even worse is that they only eat coral reefs, one of the most beautiful natural sights in the animal kingdom. That means these things are basically out to kill all things beautiful.  They are actual water Satans.

They’re so good at killing coral reefs, people are actively trying to kill them. But here’s what makes these things the legends they are:These things are tough as hell. You can cut them in half and they’ll still keep kicking. They’ll just grow their lost parts back. Like excuse me???

So far the only way to kill them is to destoy every part of their body or inject them with ox bile. Weird as hell, but it causes them to grow hemorages, then all their spines fall out and eventually die to death.

So next time you want to go to Hawaii, just remember water Satan is waiting for you, and can’t wait to bleed you. Better keep some ox bile handy.
