Comedy Night Preview

The Friends of Holyoke Public Schools (FHPS) is hosting their sixth annual Comedy Night at the Log Cabin on February 9th, featuring the Boston Improv Asylum. All the proceeds from the fundraiser go directly back to the teachers and students in the city. In particular, the group funds the Holyoke Summer Strings program which allows students to attend camp for free where they learn how to play the violin and cello. The money from this fundraiser also gives small grants to teachers across the city, allowing them to purchase new equipment, classroom projects, and field trips.

The night will begin with food and social hour and then move on to the comedy show. The show is based entirely off of Holyoke related subjects and relevant topics to the city.

“If your looking for a fun evening that always guarantees great food, company, and big belly laughs for a good cause, you should definitely round up a group of your friends or coworkers and get tickets for the show,” Says president of board of directors of FHPS, Tessa Murphy- Romboletti.

Food and drinks will be served at 6:30 pm and the show will begin at 8 pm. Tickets can be bought for $55 per person. If you are unable to come to the show, but you would still like to help the group, you can make a donation at the FHPS website: http://www.friendshps.org/support-fhps/
