Man Steals Ambulance and Crashes it into Hospital

Man Steals Ambulance and Crashes it into Hospital

A man by the name of Harrison Barjolo on the night of November 29, 2023, attacked staff and stole an ambulance from a Central Massachusetts hospital. Barjolo was attempting to break into the emergency room that night but later fled in an ambulance after assaulting many members of the staff of Ashburn Police and EMS.

Harrison Barjolo fleeing from the hospital led to a police chase on the night of November 29. A pursuit went on for a while consisting of the Police of Ashburn trying to pull him over many times, but he would not cooperate. Barjolo refused to cooperate and led on the police chase, resulting in Barjolo crashing into another vehicle. From there more cars entered the chase to remove Barjolo from the Ambulance.

Eventually, Harrison Barjolo actually drove back to the same hospital he stole the ambulance from and crashed it right into the Pylons, located outside of the ambulance bay. As soon as he crashed he exited the vehicle and ran right into the emergency room, where the police detained him and he was arrested. Luckily no one during this incident was truly hurt but there was serious damage done to the ambulance. Gardner, Ashburnham, Hubbardston, Rutland and Massachusetts State Police all helped to control and resolve this incident and they believe Barjolo is no longer a threat to the public.

The authorities are facing Harrison Barjolo with charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, operating to endanger, Leaving the scene of a property damage accident, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, assault and battery on an elder, assault and battery on ambulance personnel, simple assault and battery, and various motor vehicle charges. The investigation is still ongoing and there could be more charges to come.
