The Holyoke Knights hope to overturn a 22-year losing streak against the Longmeadow Lancers this week at Stadium Field in Longmeadow.

The Knights are coming off a 12-point win against Pittsfield and are determined to be victorious on Friday and further their winning streak.

The Knights plan to use their running attack to their advantage once again, to be victorious in this week’s game. Last Friday, the Knights rushed to 325 yards against Pittsfield and the Knights hope to execute a similar tactic again at Friday’s game. With this powerful running attack, comes a hungry and physical defense that has only given up 11 points per game.

Leesandro Colon’19 played another important role last Friday on the offense, rushing for 225 yards and scoring 3 touchdowns. When asked about what the offense needs to do to get off to a good start for this week, he said, “ We have to come into the game with intensity. I believe that we’re all prepared to execute everything that we went over in practice and we’re ready to prove that those first three games were no fluke!”

Defensively, Matt Seymour’19, who racked up 5 tackles and an interception said, “What we have to do to win is come out and hit them hard all night! We are going to be more physical than them. I look forward to playing with my brothers tomorrow night, and getting a huge shot at killing a 22 year streak.”

We wish the Holyoke Knights luck in this week’s game and look forward to seeing them break their 22 year-losing streak!
