This Friday night at Roberts Sports Complex, the Holyoke Knights (3-0) look to take down the  Longmeadow Lancers (2-1) in what should be a medieval brawl.  Kickoff is at 7:00PM.

The Knights will need to fix their special-team mistakes and have another great ground game after an amazing 303 yards rushing from senior captain Giovanni Carrasquillo against Pittsfield last week. Currently the Knights are ranked 18 while Longmeadow is ranked 3 by Masslive.

“We need to play mistake-free football,” assistant coach Mark Lubold said. “And the players need to give their best effort on the field.”

Coach Lubold thinks that if all the players on all three sides of the ball can do their jobs, then the Knights can come out on top.

Knights running back Carrasquillo agrees and he is looking to improve his own game with a push from the o-line.

“Whether it’s running or passing we are a talented offense. But the biggest factor is our o-line dominating their defense,” he said. “I think our offense can take advantage of them in many ways.”
