This Friday, Holyoke High Knights, rank 20, looks to force a loss on  Pittsfield High School, rank 18. The Knights (2-0)  hope to improve from last week’s victory over Chicopee and use their run and defensive game to give them an advantage. The Knights play at 7:00 PM in Pittsfield at Wahconah Park.

“It all starts with practice,” said Knights’ running back Giovanni Carrasquillo. “We have to give 110%, learning our blocking assignments, and reading those blocks. I’m lucky to have such an amazing offensive line, that truly believes in me and puts their body on the line every single game.”

Carrasquillo and the “ o-line”  look to get more than his 129 yards rushing against Chicopee, when they face Pittsfield’s defense.

On the Defensive side of the ball the Knights have scored 8 points, given up 16 points per game and forced 6 turnovers.

“We’re looking to add to our turnover count in a big way,” said Assistant Knight’s Coach and Defensive Coordinator, Mark Lubold. “I think if the defense can all do their jobs and understand their roles, we can stop Pittsfield’s offense and keep their deception to a minimum.”

The Knights look for your support on Friday night but if you can’t make it, make sure you follow the Herald sports on twitter @hhsheraldsports to keep up with the game.
